The responsiveness of the EU institutions to interest groups
In this project, we examine a range of propositions about interest group influence within the EU using a new dataset on European Commission consultations. This data provides us with detailed information on the policy positions of different stakeholders across a range of legislative proposals, which we can then combine with other data on different stages of the legislative process.
This dataset was first introduced in: Judge, A. and Thomson, R. (forthcoming) 'The responsiveness of legislative actors to stakeholder policy demands in the European Union', Journal of European Public Policy.
Any uses of the dataset should cite this publication. Supplementary materials are available from the JEPP website. In this article we combined our data with the DEU II dataset, which is available on Robert Thomson's website.
